Why do I practice in Probate and Estate Planning?
I come from a family rooted in the tax world – both my grandfather and father are CPAs – and it was during my time in law school that I realized that estate planning was a niche that best leveraged my aptitude in tax courses and my legal writing skills. The best estate planning requires a thorough understanding of the intricacies of the tax code; I have seen firsthand the complications and inefficient outcomes that arise when proper care is not taken in developing an estate plan. This is even more critical because Kentucky is still one of five states that imposes a state-level inheritance tax. My goal is to help our clients preserve their legacies for their loved ones by developing the most effective and efficient estate plans.
